NBCC Bags ₹271 Cr Orders; Namami Ganga Aquarium Project Boosts Order Book

New Delhi: State-owned construction major NBCC (India) Limited has secured fresh work orders worth ₹271.32 crore in the ordinary course of business, strengthening its project pipeline and revenue visibility. The orders span institutional infrastructure projects and a large-scale public development under the Namami Ganga programme, reinforcing NBCC’s position as a key project management consultancy (PMC) player in India.

Biggest Project: Namami Ganga Aquarium at Rishikesh

The largest share of the newly awarded orders comes from the Department of Fisheries, Uttarakhand, with a project value of ₹232.13 crore. NBCC will act as Project Management Consultant for the construction of a Namami Ganga Aquarium-cum-Discovery Learning Centre at Pashulok, Rishikesh. The project aligns with the government’s focus on river rejuvenation, tourism infrastructure, and environmental education.

Multiple Institutional Projects Across India

In addition to the flagship project, NBCC has received several smaller but strategically important assignments from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI). These include construction of chapter buildings at Chandigarh, Ranchi, Baroda, a Headquarters Building at Lodhi Road, New Delhi, and a Centre of Excellence (COE) building in Jaipur. Collectively, these projects add over ₹39 crore to the total order inflow.

Why This Matters for Investors

The latest order wins are significant for investors tracking PSU infrastructure stocks:

  • The orders are asset-light PMC contracts, which typically support healthier margins.

  • A large government-backed project under Namami Ganga enhances long-term execution visibility.

  • Diversified project locations reduce execution risk and ensure steady cash flows.

  • Continued order inflow indicates strong trust from central institutions and state governments.
