NLCIL arm enters into JV with APDCL to cater RE demand in Assam

New Delhi: State-owned NLC India Ltd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL) has incorporated Joint Venture Company with Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) under the name and style of “NIRL Assam Renewables Limited” with equity participation of 51:49 respectively.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued a Certificate of Incorporation for the same on 7th May, 2025. NIRL Assam Renewables Limited will undertake Green Energy Projects to meet renewable power obligations in the state of Assam.

The objective of the Company is to develop, operate and maintain Renewable Energy Projects in the state of Assam. It is a 51:49 Joint Venture Company.

Ministry of Coal (MoC), Government of India has conveyed the approval of DIPAM for formation of JV Company between NIRL (WoS of NLCIL) & APDCL.
