NMDC Reports Iron Ore Production & Sales Growth for February 2026

New Delhi, March 2, 2026: NMDC Limited, India’s leading iron ore producer, announced its provisional production and sales figures for February 2026, reflecting steady growth across its operational sectors.

For the month of February 2026, NMDC achieved:

• Chhattisgarh Sector: Produced 4.04 million tonnes (up from 3.37 million tonnes in February 2025) and sold 3.08 million tonnes (up from 2.79 million tonnes).

• Karnataka Sector: Produced 1.31 million tonnes (up from 1.25 million tonnes) and sold 1.52 million tonnes (up from 1.19 million tonnes).

Cumulatively for FY 2025-26 up to February, the company’s production totaled 47.79 million tonnes, compared with 40.49 million tonnes in the same period last year. Sales reached 44.34 million tonnes, up from 40.20 million tonnes, demonstrating robust demand and operational efficiency.

The company noted that these figures underscore NMDC’s sustained commitment to meeting domestic and global iron ore demand while maintaining operational excellence across its Chhattisgarh and Karnataka sectors.
