Noida, Delhi, Gurugram Borders Closed for G20 Summit: Here's How to Navigate the Traffic

New Delhi: The 18th G20 Summit will be held in New Delhi from September 9 to 10, 2023. In view of the summit, the Delhi Police has imposed a series of traffic restrictions in Noida, Delhi, and Gurugram.
Noida
The following traffic restrictions will be in place in Noida from September 7 at 5 PM to September 10 at 11:59 PM:
- Entry of heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles from the Noida border to Delhi will be prohibited.
- Only bonafide residents, authorized vehicles, and vehicles dealing with housekeeping, catering, waste management, etc. will be allowed to enter Delhi from the Noida border.
- These vehicles will be diverted to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE).

Delhi
The following traffic restrictions will be in place in Delhi from September 7 at 5 PM to September 10 at 11:59 PM:
- The entire area of New Delhi district will be considered as “controlled Zone-I”.
- No unauthorized vehicles will be allowed to enter the controlled zone.
- Only authorized vehicles, including those of residents, guests, and essential services, will be allowed to enter the controlled zone.
- The traffic police will be deployed at different places to guide drivers of authorized vehicles
Gurugram
The following traffic restrictions will be in place in Gurugram from September 7 at 5 PM to September 10 at 11:59 PM:
- Entry of heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles from the Gurugram border to Delhi will be prohibited.
- Only bonafide residents, authorized vehicles, and vehicles dealing with housekeeping, catering, waste management, etc. will be allowed to enter Delhi from the Gurugram border.
- These vehicles will be diverted to the KMP Expressway.
- The Delhi Police has advised commuters to avoid using their private vehicles during the G20 Summit and to instead use public transportation such as the Delhi Metro. The Metro will be operating special services during the summit.

The G20 Summit is a major international event and the traffic restrictions are necessary to ensure the smooth and safe passage of delegates and visitors. Commuters are requested to cooperate with the police and follow the traffic restrictions.

1. The entry of commercial vehicles will be banned towards Delhi at all five Ghaziabad border points with Delhi.
2. In Noida, all goods vehicles transporting essential commodities will be permitted to move.
3. Heavy vehicles entering Delhi can make a U-turn at the Chilla red light (border) and proceed via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
4. Vehicles entering Delhi from the DND Flyway can u-turn at DND Toll Plaza and use the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
5. Goods vehicles from the Kalindi Kunj Yamuna border will be redirected at the first underpass tri-section of the Yamuna River.
6. Vehicles from the New Ashok Nagar border will reach their destination via Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15, taking DSC Road.
7. People travelling from Meerut, Hapur, and Ghaziabad to Agra, Mathura, and Lucknow will use NH-91.
