Bengaluru, August 7, 2025: As part of its growing commitment to sustainability, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) today launched its fleet of Electric Vehicles (EVs) under the unique ‘Go Green’ initiative at its corporate headquarters in Bengaluru. The fleet was flagged off by Dr. D.K. Sunil, CMD, HAL, in the presence of Mr. Barenya Senapati, Director (Finance), Mr. Ravi. K, Director (Operations), CEOs (in virtual mode) and other senior officials.

“As a responsible leader in this community, HAL is aligning its operations with green and sustainable practices. The introduction of Electric Vehicles is a significant step in building an ecologically responsible and future-ready aerospace ecosystem in India.  Through this initiative, HAL is embracing cleaner alternatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” says Dr. D. K. Sunil, CMD, HAL.

A total of 59 newly inducted EVs supplied by Convergence Energy Service Limited will be deployed across various divisions in Bengaluru, Nasik, Koraput and Lucknow for the first time. HAL aims to scale up the use of EVs in the future and has already provided supporting infrastructure, such as EV charging stations.

HAL has implemented greener initiatives, including energy conservation, water conservation, river rejuvenation and waste management practices, thereby reducing its environmental impact and promoting sustainability.
