NTPC Faridabad launches Dung2Wealth under CSR initiative
NTPC Faridabad launched the innovative CSR initiative "Dung2Wealth" in collaboration with Devashray of Sarvodaya Foundation. This program aims to empower women from seven villages near NTPC Faridabad by forming and training self-help groups (SHGs) to transform cow dung into eco-friendly products like logs, planters, decorative items, and paper.
The inauguration ceremony, graced by Shri Atul Kamalakar Desai, BUH (NTPC Faridabad), and Mrs. Anshu Gupta, Managing Director of Sarvodaya Healthcare, saw enthusiastic participation from the women of Tiagon village.
At the heart of "Dung2Wealth" is "Cownomy," which promotes sustainable waste utilization while providing rural women with livelihoods. This initiative fosters economic independence, environmental conservation, and community development, aligning with NTPC’s commitment to women’s empowerment and sustainability.
