NTPC Transfers Dulanga & Talaipalli Coal Mines to NTPC Mining Limited
Mumbai, February 1, 2026 – In a strategic restructuring move, NTPC Limited has officially transferred the Dulanga Coal Mine in Sundergarh, Odisha, and Talaipalli Coal Mine in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh to its wholly-owned subsidiary, NTPC Mining Limited (NML), effective 1st February 2026.
This step is part of NTPC’s phased plan to consolidate its coal mining operations under NML, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. Previously, this transfer was scheduled for 31st January 2026, as disclosed in NTPC’s earlier announcement.
Ritu Arora, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of NTPC, confirmed the transfer and stated that this restructuring is aimed at better management of coal mining assets and improved operational performance across the group.
