SECL Stall Appreciated at Progressive Chhattisgarh Event

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) showcased an attractive and informative stall at the “Progressive Chhattisgarh” event held from February 19–21. The stall highlighted the company’s technological innovations, environmental commitments, and social responsibility initiatives.
Dignitaries Visit SECL Stall
The stall was visited by Mrs. Kamlesh Jangde, Hon’ble MP (Janjgir-Champa), and Shri Janmejay Mahobe, Collector of Janjgir-Champa, along with other senior officials. They appreciated SECL’s innovations and developmental initiatives.
Modern and Safe Mining Techniques
The stall displayed blast-free open-cast mining using Surface Miners and safe, efficient underground mining using Continuous Miners.
Additionally, advanced systems for eco-friendly coal transport (FMC), Ripper technology for OB removal, and smart mining were demonstrated.
Smart Mining and Digitalization
Under Project DigiCoal, AI-based monitoring, a modern Command & Control Center, and digital monitoring systems showcased safe and transparent mining operations.
Environmental Protection Initiatives
SECL has planted over 30 million saplings and developed eco-parks, solar energy projects, and other green initiatives to highlight its commitment to sustainable development.
Corporate Social Responsibility
For social and economic development in the coal belt, SECL has spent over ₹850 crore on CSR initiatives, including “SECL ke Sushrut”, “SECL ki Dhadkan”, smart classrooms, skill development programs, and rural development projects.
Rail Corridor Model
The rail corridor model displayed at the stall attracted considerable attention and demonstrates SECL’s efforts to strengthen coal transportation in Chhattisgarh.
