BHEL shares in consecutive downturn amid Net Loss of Rs 455.50 crore in Q1FY26
New Delhi: Shares of Defence PSU, Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd (BHEL) are plummet by around 6.09% at Rs 225.22 after the company has declared its quarterly financial results for 2025-26. The shares are affected badly due to consolidated loss of 9.74% as compared to the fourth quarter of FY25.
The PSU company said its consolidated net loss widened to Rs 455.50 crore in June quarter as compared to previous year quarter because of higher expenses. According to the exchange filing, the company had a consolidated net loss of Rs 211.40 crore in the quarter ended on June 30, 2024. The revenue from operations for Q1FY26 is standing at Rs 5,486.91 crore, a significant down from Rs 8,993.37 crore in Q4FY25.

The company’s total expenses rose to Rs 6,279.78 crore in the quarter from Rs 5,874.98 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. However, the total income rose slightly to Rs 5,658.07 crore in the quarter from Rs 5,581.78 crore a year ago.
The stock has been struggling with -4.41% down fall from last five days. The stock opened today at Rs 231.85 and has reached to intraday low of Rs 222.59 at BSE. The P/E ratio is at 147.23 and dividend yield at 0.22%.
