DoPT Invites Nominations for Central Deputation Posts

New Delhi, December 10, 2025:
The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has invited nominations of eligible officers for appointment on Central deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS), as well as for the posts of Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and other organisations.

The communication was issued by Manisha Saxena, IAS, Establishment Officer and Additional Secretary, DoPT.

Single Portal for All Applications

DoPT has clarified that all nominations for CSS posts, CVO positions, and Non-CSS posts in PSUs, autonomous bodies, statutory bodies, and registered societies must be submitted through the SUPREMO portal.
The portal will be open for the 2026 application cycle from 1 January 2026.

Updated Eligibility for IAS Officers

The letter highlights recent changes in eligibility norms:

  • Minimum 16 years of service is required for empanelment at the Joint Secretary level.

  • At least two years of Central deputation at the level of Under Secretary / Deputy Secretary / Director is mandatory for JS empanelment.

  • For empanelment as Additional Secretary, officers will be excluded if:

    • They are not empanelled for JS-level posts, or

    • They do not have three years of Central deputation experience at DS level or above.

These norms aim to build a strong pool of officers experienced in both Central and State administration.

Application Requirements

The SUPREMO online form includes:

  • Annexure I: To be filled by the officer along with a photograph.

  • Annexure II, III & IV: To be completed online by the Nodal Officer of the Cadre Controlling Authority.

DoPT has requested all Cadre Controlling Authorities to strictly follow the guidelines provided in Appendix I and II while forwarding nominations.
A list of CVO stations is available in Appendix-III.

Purpose of the Exercise

This annual process helps the central government streamline postings for:

  • Joint Secretary and Director-level positions under CSS

  • Chief Vigilance Officers in CPSEs

  • Other deputation-based roles across ministries and departments

It ensures that key positions are filled with experienced and qualified officers to strengthen governance and transparency across the system.
