ONGC Awards ₹125 Crore Contract to CIPL for AI-Powered IT Modernization Across 47 Locations in India

New Delhi: ONGC, India’s largest oil and gas producer, has awarded a ₹125 crore contract to CIPL, a Noida-based technology solutions company, to implement AI-driven IT modernization, digitalization, and cybersecurity across 47 locations nationwide over the next three years.

This initiative goes beyond conventional IT upgrades—it represents a full-scale digital transformation. Leveraging artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, and intelligent automation, ONGC aims to proactively identify technical issues, optimize operations, and enhance the resilience of mission-critical systems.

A dedicated team of over 450 skilled IT professionals will be stationed across ONGC offices to manage deployment, provide round-the-clock monitoring, and ensure the seamless functioning of IT systems at all 47 locations. Cloud-first strategies and AI governance will strengthen data security and operational efficiency throughout the network.

The project bridges ONGC’s legacy since 1956 with CIPL’s technical expertise since 2007, which includes managing IT infrastructure for Indian Oil and the Airports Authority of India. Together, they are building a future-ready, secure, and highly efficient digital ecosystem across 47 ONGC locations.
