GAIL Recruitment 2026: 70 Executive Trainee Posts via GATE 2026

New Delhi ,Feb 21, 2026: GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking and India’s leading natural gas company, has announced recruitment for 70 Executive Trainee (ET) positions through GATE 2026.

The vacancies are available in four engineering disciplines:

Executive Trainee (Chemical)
Executive Trainee (Instrumentation)
Executive Trainee (Electrical)
Executive Trainee (Mechanical)

Total Vacancies: 70 Posts

The recruitment includes category-wise reservations for UR, EWS, OBC (NCL), SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engg.) in the relevant discipline.
Minimum 65% marks required for General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates.
Minimum 60% marks required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Only candidates who are appearing in or have completed their engineering degree in 2025 or 2026 are eligible.
Upper age limit: 26 years as on March 18, 2026 (age relaxations applicable as per government norms).

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

GATE 2026 score (only GATE 2026 marks are valid)
Group Discussion and/or Interview

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of:

₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 (E-2 Grade)
One-year training-cum-probation
Performance-related pay
Medical benefits, accommodation/HRA, provident fund, gratuity, and post-retirement benefits
