REC Limited invites tech innovators to join India Energy Stack pilot on regulatory data exchange, AI-powered tools, and interoperable power sector solutions.
REC Limited Launches IES Regulatory Data Exchange Pilot

New Delhi, Feb 21, 2026: In a major push toward digital transformation of India’s power sector, REC Limited has invited eligible technology solution providers and innovators to participate in the India Energy Stack (IES) pilot focused on regulatory data exchange and analytics. The pilot also encourages experimentation with tools built on publicly disclosed regulatory datasets, including Regulatory GPT-style applications. Participation is completely voluntary.

About India Energy Stack

India Energy Stack is a digital public infrastructure initiative of the Ministry of Power, with REC Limited as the nodal agency and FSR Global serving as the knowledge partner.

IES aims to establish uniform specifications and standards to connect stakeholders and assets across the power sector, enabling secure, interoperable, and auditable data exchange. The initiative’s primary objectives include:

  • Reducing friction in data integration across the power sector

  • Improving regulatory traceability

  • Creating a reusable digital backbone for sector-wide coordination
