Hindustan Copper Announces 47 Trade Apprentice Vacancies at Malanjkhand Project

Balaghat, January 31, 2026 – Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Mines, has released a fresh notification for the engagement of 47 Trade Apprentices at its Malanjkhand Copper Project (MCP) in Madhya Pradesh. The recruitment is being conducted under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and aims to provide skill-based training to eligible candidates.


Total Vacancies and Trades

The total number of apprentice seats announced is 47, spread across multiple trades. These include Blaster (Mines), Driver-cum-Mechanic (LMV), Fitter, Turner, Welder (Gas & Electric), Electrician, Draughtsman (Civil), Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Instrument Mechanic and Solar Technician (Electrician).

Notably, all six vacancies for Driver-cum-Mechanic (LMV) are exclusively reserved for female candidates.

The duration of training will be two years for Blaster (Mines) and one year for all other trades.


Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for Blaster (Mines) and Driver-cum-Mechanic (LMV) must have passed Class 10 / Matriculation under the 10+2 system.

For all remaining trades, candidates must have passed Class 10 along with ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institute.

Applicants holding higher qualifications such as Diploma, B.E., or graduation degrees will not be considered for engagement.


Age Limit

As on 04 February 2026, the minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.

Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
SC/ST candidates will get 5 years, and OBC candidates will get 3 years relaxation in the upper age limit.


Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be purely merit-based.

For trades requiring ITI, 70 percent weightage will be given to marks obtained in Class 10, while 30 percent weightage will be given to ITI marks.

For trades where ITI is not required, selection will be based on 100 percent Class 10 marks.

In case two or more candidates secure equal marks, preference will be given to the older candidate.


Stipend and Medical Fitness

Selected apprentices will be paid a stipend as per the rules of the Apprenticeship Act.

Final engagement will be subject to the candidate being declared medically fit as per Hindustan Copper Limited norms.

How to Apply

Interested candidates must register themselves on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.

Additionally, candidates are required to appear and register at the Employment Fair (Rozgar Mela).


Important Dates and Venue

The Employment Fair will be held on 04 February 2026, which will also be the cut-off date for age and educational qualification.

The venue for the fair is CM RISE School, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh.
