New Delhi | March 16, 2026: The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. has invited applications for its Summer Internship Programme (SIP) 2026, offering students an opportunity to gain practical exposure in India’s largest shipping company.
Interested candidates must note that March 16, 2026 is the last date to submit applications for the internship programme.
Internship Locations
The internship will be conducted at the company’s offices in:

Selected candidates in Mumbai may also be posted at the Maritime Training Institute (MTI), Powai, depending on organizational requirements.
Duration of Internship
The Summer Internship Programme will be conducted for two months between May 2026 and July 2026, depending on the schedule of the candidate’s educational institution.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must be an Indian citizen
-
Must be pursuing a graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized university in India

The internship must be a mandatory requirement of the candidate’s academic programme
-
Minimum 60% marks in the last completed semester or academic year
-
Students must provide a letter from their institution confirming that the internship is mandatory
Candidates whose marks are given in Grade Point or Letter Grade systems must submit an official conversion certificate to percentage.
Stipend and Benefits
The Shipping Corporation of India has clarified that:

No accommodation will be provided

No transportation reimbursement will be given

Interns must bring their own laptop during the internship period.
Selection Process
Selection will be done through a Personal Interview, which may be conducted either online or in physical mode.
