Maruti Suzuki Eeco Crosses 15 Lakh Sales Milestone; Star Edition Launched
New Delhi, 2 September 2026: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that its popular van, the Eeco, has crossed the landmark milestone of 15 lakh cumulative sales in India.
Launched in January 2010 and designed specifically for Indian conditions, the Eeco has established itself as a trusted mobility partner for families, entrepreneurs, businesses and institutions.
Fastest Growth Phase
The Eeco’s growth has accelerated over the years. The first 5 lakh sales took eight years, the next 5 lakh were achieved in under five years, while the latest 5 lakh units were sold in around three-and-a-half years — the fastest 5-lakh milestone in the model’s journey.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said the 15 lakh sales milestone reflects the progress of customers and the enduring trust placed in Eeco. He noted that 65% of Eeco sales in FY 2025-26 came from rural markets, 55% of customers are first-time buyers, and over 51% are business owners.
Product Portfolio & Evolution
The Eeco continues to evolve with a versatile 13-variant portfolio that includes 5-seater and 6-seater passenger models, Tour V, Ambulance and Cargo versions. The latest model is equipped with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) and the Advanced K12N engine as standard.
Fuel efficiency stands at 19.71 km/l (petrol) and 26.78 km/kg (S-CNG). The share of S-CNG in Eeco sales has risen four-fold from 12% in FY 2019-20 to 48% in FY 2025-26.
Eeco Star Edition Launched
To celebrate the 15 lakh sales milestone, Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Eeco Star Edition. The special edition comes with 18 exclusive exterior and interior accessories that enhance aesthetics and in-cabin experience. Body-coloured bumpers further elevate its refined and contemporary look.
With its combination of space, practicality, versatility and dependability, the Eeco continues to serve diverse mobility needs across India.
