New Delhi: IIT Bombay is pleased to announce that Indian Patent No. 554978 titled, “High Precision Surgical Robotic Platform for Cooperative and Teleoperated Minimal Invasive Surgeries,” jointly held with ICMR, has been awarded the ICMR Innovation Excellence Recognition — Gold.
The award was conferred by Hon’ble Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Ms. Anupriya Patel, in the presence of Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Secretary, Department of Health Research & Director General, ICMR, and Prof. Vinod K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog.
This patented platform represents a major advancement in minimally invasive surgical technology, enabling both cooperative and teleoperated robotic interventions with enhanced precision, stability, and surgeon–robot synergy.
