New Delhi: SJVN Limited has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with ACME Solar Holdings Limited for a 450 MW / 1,800 MWh ISTS-connected assured peak power project, strengthening renewable energy capacity under India’s competitive bidding framework.

The agreements were executed through ACME Solar’s subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited, for a tenor of 25 years, with the PPAs formally signed on March 2, 2026, according to a company press release issued on March 12.

Tender and Project Details

The project was awarded under the Tranche-FDRE-4 tender issued through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines. An e-reverse auction for the tender was conducted on October 9, 2025, followed by the issuance of a Letter of Award (LOA) on November 10, 2025.

The project will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) network and will utilize night-time connectivity available with ACME Solar at high solar irradiation zones in Rajasthan.

Under the agreements, ACME Solar will supply four hours of assured peak power during non-solar hours, maintaining 90% availability on both monthly and annual bases.

Capacity Additions in Current Financial Year

With the signing of these PPAs, ACME Solar Holdings Limited has secured 1,690 MW of power purchase agreements in the current financial year, taking its total PPA-signed capacity to 6,270 MW.
