Railway Board Approves Deputation of IRTS Officer to CRIS
New Delhi: The Railway Board under the Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Prashant Kumar Gajbhiye, an officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), to the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).
According to an official order issued from Rail Bhavan on March 11, 2026, Gajbhiye has been selected for deputation as RGM/Mumbai/EPS at CRIS.
Current Posting and Deputation Tenure
At present, Gajbhiye serves as Senior Divisional Operations Manager (Sr. DOM/B) with Central Railway in Mumbai.
The deputation will be for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment will follow the usual terms of deputation, subject to government approval regarding exemption from the rule of immediate absorption for CRIS.
Instructions for Relieving the Officer
The Railway Board has directed the General Manager of Central Railway to relieve the officer so that he can assume his new assignment at CRIS. The date of his relief is to be communicated to the Board.
The order was issued by Roshan Kumari Meena, Under Secretary, Railway Board.
