NTPC's Kamal Nath Thakur honoured with ‘CMA of the Year Award 2024’

New Delhi: In a moment of pride for the Indian public sector, Sh. Kamal Nath Thakur, Additional General Manager-Finance, NTPC Ltd, at a leading Power Sector PSU, was conferred with the prestigious ‘CMA of the Year Award 2024’ at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The award was presented by Mr. Bhartruhari Mahtab, Hon’ble Member of Parliament & Chairman Standing Committee on Finance, in the esteemed presence of the President of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) and other dignitaries.

Sh. Kamal Nath Thakur was recognized for his outstanding contribution to the field of cost and management accounting, and for his over three decades of exemplary service across strategic sectors including mining, fertilisers, and power. His financial acumen has played a pivotal role in enhancing transparency, cost-efficiency, and performance benchmarking within public sector enterprises.

The event was part of ICMAI’s annual awards ceremony celebrating excellence in the cost and management profession, drawing participants from across industries and government bodies.
