RVNL Wins Champion of Change CSR Award at CSR Leadership Summit 2026
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Champion of Change’ CSR Award at the 17th CSR Leadership Summit 2026, held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi.
The award recognises RVNL’s consistent, high-impact Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, highlighting the organisation’s strong commitment to inclusive growth, community development, and sustainable nation-building, alongside its core role in infrastructure development.
A key focus of the evaluation was RVNL’s CSR interventions in Aspirational Districts, particularly Narainpur district in Chhattisgarh’s remote Abujhmarh region. The area, home to the primitive Madiya tribal community, has historically faced geographical isolation, socio-economic challenges, and Left Wing Extremism. RVNL’s sustained CSR efforts in such difficult terrains underscore its commitment to reaching underserved and project-affected communities.
The award and certificate were presented by Mr. Rusen Kumar, Founder and Managing Editor of India CSR Network (indiacsr.in), a leading digital platform dedicated to CSR and sustainability. The summit was organised by India CSR Network, headquartered in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. Shri Anil Kumar Mahato, Coordinator (CSR), RVNL, received the award on behalf of the organisation.
Commenting on the achievement, Shri Saleem Ahmad, Chairman and Managing Director, RVNL, said,
“This recognition reinforces RVNL’s conviction that infrastructure growth must be accompanied by meaningful social responsibility. Our CSR initiatives aim to create long-term value for communities, especially in underserved and project-affected regions, while aligning with national development priorities.”
The ‘Champion of Change’ CSR Award honours organisations demonstrating measurable social impact, strong governance, and alignment with national priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The CSR Leadership Summit serves as a national platform bringing together PSUs, corporates, policymakers, and CSR professionals to recognise excellence in responsible and impact-driven CSR initiatives.
