HPCL Appoints Shri Vikram Saxena as New Government Nominee Director

Mumbai, March 10, 2026: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), one of India’s leading oil refining and marketing companies, has announced a key change in its Board of Directors. Shri Vikram Saxena, Director (Technology & Field Services) at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), has been appointed as a Government Nominee Director on HPCL’s Board with effect from March 10, 2026.

This appointment comes in accordance with the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, following a directive from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. Shri Vikram Saxena will serve a term of three years on a co-terminus basis or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Background of Shri Vikram Saxena

Shri Saxena is a Mechanical Engineering graduate with a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management. He brings over 35 years of extensive experience in Exploration & Production (E&P) operations, spanning both onshore and offshore domains.

Currently, he spearheads the Drilling & Well Services campaign at ONGC and also serves as Director in ONGC Green Limited. Prior to his current roles, Shri Saxena held several key leadership positions within ONGC, demonstrating expertise in operations, maintenance, regulatory frameworks, health, safety & environment, and policy matters.

HPCL also confirmed that Shri Saxena has no relation with any of the existing directors and is not debarred from holding the office of director by any regulatory authority.

Board Changes

With this update:

Shri Vinod Seshan (DIN: 07985959) and Shri Pankaj Kumar (DIN: 09252235) have ceased to be Government Nominee Directors of HPCL effective March 10, 2026.
The Board meeting recording this change was held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the same day.
