Bank of Baroda Hosts 187th SLBC Gujarat Meeting in Gandhinagar
Bank of Baroda convened the 187th SLBC Gujarat meeting in Gandhinagar, reviewing priority lending, digitalisation and ULI initiatives with top officials.

New Delih: Bank of Baroda convened the 187th meeting of the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) for Gujarat on 2 December 2025 in Gandhinagar. The meeting brought together senior leaders from the Government of Gujarat, Government of India, Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, and major financial institutions to review the state's banking and developmental progress.
The meeting was held in the presence of Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat; Shri Manoj Kumar Das, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat; Shri Rajeev Topno, IAS, Principal Secretary, Finance Department; Smt. Aarti Kanwar, IAS, Secretary (EA), Finance Department; and Shri Manoj Muttathil Ayyappan, Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India.
Dr. Debadatta Chand, Chairman, SLBC Gujarat and MD & CEO of Bank of Baroda, presided over the meeting. Other key attendees included Smt. Sonali Sen Gupta, Executive Director, RBI; Shri Amresh Ranjan, Regional Director, RBI; Shri B. K. Singhal, Chief General Manager, NABARD; and Shri Ashwini Kumar, Convenor, SLBC Gujarat and General Manager, Bank of Baroda.
The dignitaries reviewed progress on several key initiatives such as priority sector lending, digitalisation efforts across the banking ecosystem, the Unified Lending Interface (ULI), and measures to strengthen economic development in the state. They also appreciated the collective role of banks in accelerating Gujarat’s financial inclusion and economic growth.
During the event, the best-performing Lead District Managers for Q2 of FY 2025–26 were recognised and felicitated for their contributions.
