Mumbai, March 19, 2026: HDFC Bank Limited has officially confirmed the resignation of Mr. Atanu Chakraborty from his position as Part-time Chairman and Independent Director of the bank. The clarification comes a day after the initial announcement made on March 18, 2026.

According to the official communication sent to BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), while Mr. Chakraborty’s resignation letter was dated March 17, 2026, it was formally received by HDFC Bank on March 18, 2026 at 15:17 IST. The bank emphasized that this update is intended for accurate reporting and appropriate dissemination to stakeholders.

“This is a continuation of the intimation regarding the resignation of Mr. Atanu Chakraborty as Part-time Chairman and Independent Director of HDFC Bank Limited,” stated Ajay Agarwal, Company Secretary and Group Head – Secretarial & Group Oversight at HDFC Bank.
