Karur Vysya Bank Gets Favourable ITAT Order in ₹40.34 Crore Tax Dispute
New Delhi: Karur Vysya Bank has received a favourable order from the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) in a tax dispute related to Assessment Year 2022-23.
The bank disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of SEBI LODR Regulations, 2015, in a filing dated September 1, 2026.
₹40.34 Crore Tax Demand
The dispute relates to a ₹40.34 crore demand raised by the National Faceless Assessment Unit for FY 2021-22.
The Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), National Faceless Appeal Centre, had earlier partly allowed the bank’s appeal.
ITAT Sets Aside Earlier Order
Karur Vysya Bank said it has now received a favourable ITAT order setting aside the order passed by the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals).
The bank had earlier maintained that it had adequate factual and legal grounds to support its position.
No Financial Impact on Bank
According to the filing, the latest order will have no impact on the bank’s financial position, operations or other activities.
