PNB MD & CEO Ashok Chandra Visits Meghalaya, Holds Talks with State Leaders in Shillong
Shillong: Punjab National Bank Managing Director & CEO Ashok Chandra visited the North-East region to strengthen the bank’s commitment to the economic development of the state and expansion of banking services.
During his visit to Shillong, the PNB chief met Timothy D. Shira, Tourism Minister of Meghalaya, and Shakil P. Ahammed, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya and State Vigilance Commissioner.
During the meeting, Ashok Chandra apprised the state leadership of the bank’s ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting the region’s economic development and strengthening financial inclusion by expanding banking services for the people of Meghalaya.
As part of the visit, a Town Hall meeting was also organized in Shillong where the PNB MD & CEO interacted with bank employees. Addressing the gathering, he spoke about the bank’s future growth strategy and the importance of innovation in banking services.
Chandra encouraged staff members to continue strengthening customer relationships and uphold the highest standards of professionalism while delivering banking services across the region.
