SBI Cards Extends Ved Prakash’s Tenure as EVP & Head of Internal Audit

March 5, 2026: SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited has approved the extension of the tenure of Ved Prakash as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Head – Internal Audit for an additional four months, from March 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

The decision was taken by the company’s board of directors during its meeting held on March 5, 2026, following recommendations from the Audit Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Ved Prakash joined SBI Cards on March 1, 2023, and currently leads the company’s internal audit function. In this role, he oversees audit processes, risk management, and internal control systems within the organization.

Before joining SBI Cards, Ved Prakash served as Deputy General Manager at State Bank of India, where he built more than 31 years of experience in banking across various domains including high-value credit and government business operations.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from University of Delhi and is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

The extension ensures continuity in the company’s internal audit leadership and governance framework.
