MOIL Hikes Manganese Ore Prices by 2% for March 2026, Cuts EMD Price by ₹10,000

MOIL Limited has increased prices of most ferro and chemical grades of manganese ore by 2% for March 2026 while reducing the price of Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide by ₹10,000 per PMT.
MOIL Hikes Manganese Ore Prices by 2% for March 2026, Cuts EMD Price by ₹10,000

New Delhi: State-owned mining company MOIL Limited has announced revised prices for different grades of manganese ore for March 2026, with several ferro and chemical grade ores witnessing a 2% price increase. The new prices came into effect from midnight of February 28 / March 1, 2026.

The announcement was made through a regulatory filing submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.

Ferro Grade Manganese Ore Prices Increased

According to the filing, the company has raised the prices of all ferro grades of manganese ore by 2% for March 2026.

The price revision applies to:

  • Ferro grades with manganese content of 44% and above

  • Ferro grades with manganese content below 44%

Both categories saw a 2% increase over prices prevailing since February 1, 2026.

SMGR Grade Prices

The company also revised prices for SMGR grade manganese ore:

  • SMGR (Mn-30%) prices increased by 2%

  • SMGR (Mn-25%) grades and fines prices remain unchanged

Chemical Grade Prices

Prices of all chemical grades of manganese ore have also been increased by 2% compared to February prices.

Select Grades Unchanged, Some Hiked by 10%

While many products saw modest increases, some grades remained unchanged while others saw sharper revisions:

  • SMGR (Mn-20%) grades: Prices unchanged

  • BGL509 grade: Price increased by 10%

In the metal mandi fines segment:

  • DBF575 and MSF592: Prices unchanged

  • UKF532: Price increased by 10%

Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) Price Reduced

In contrast to ore price hikes, the company reduced the basic price of Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD).

The price has been lowered by ₹10,000 per PMT, decreasing from ₹1,90,000 per PMT to ₹1,80,000 per PMT effective from March 1, 2026.
