Appointment Committee of Cabinet approves extension and additional charges of govt officers

New Delhi, Feb 25, 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare for entrustment of additional charge of the post of Director General (JS level), National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management, Hyderabad to Shri Sagar Hanuman Singh, Director General, National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM) w.e.f. 06.10.2025 to 29.03.2026 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.

The government has approved the proposal of the Department of Economic Affairs for extension of central deputation tenure of Shri Baldeo Purushartha, IAS (PB:2002), Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a period of one year beyond 11.03.2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Also, the government has approved the proposal of the Department of Commerce for entrustment of additional charge of the post of Development Commissioner, Special Economic Zone, Kandla to Shri Dnyaneshwar Bhalchandra Patil, IAS (MP:2003), Development Commissioner, Santa Cruz Exclusive Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ SEZ), Mumbai for a period of nine months w.e.f 28.10.2025 to 27.07.2026 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
