New Delhi, 22 May 2026: The Government of India, through the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), has approved key administrative changes involving senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.

 

Additional Charge Assigned to MOSPI Secretary

Sudhansh Pant has been assigned additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI). He currently serves as Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.

The additional charge has been approved with immediate effect and will remain in place until 31 May 2026, during the leave period of the incumbent Secretary.

The decision was taken by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

 

Premature Repatriation of IAS Officer from TRIFED

In a separate order, the government has approved the premature repatriation of Pooja Joshi, who was serving as General Manager at TRIFED (Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India) in Bengaluru (South Karnataka region) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Her repatriation to the parent cadre has been approved on personal grounds.
