Prashant Kumar Singh appointed as Secretary of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes
He has replaced Shri Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS (AGMUT:91), in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Prashant Kumar Singh, IAS officer of the Manipur cadre of 1993-batch presently in the cadre, to the post of Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
He has replaced Shri Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS (AGMUT:91), in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.

Prashant Kumar Singh is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Government of India. He is a bureaucrat of the Indian Administrative Service of 1993 batch.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi and a gold medal in his master’s degree in Public Policy & Sustainable Development from TERI University, New Delhi.
