UP Govt Approves 2,500 Sq Meter Land for Ayodhya Sports Complex
Noida: Project to be Developed Under Chief Minister Vaishwik Nagarodaya Yojana
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the transfer of land for the development of a sports complex in Ayodhya as part of the Chief Minister Vaishwik Nagarodaya Yojana, aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and promoting sports among youth.
The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Yogi Adityanath, according to an official statement released by the state government.
2,500 Square Meter Land to Be Allocated
Under the approved proposal, around 2,500 square meters of Nazul land located in the Vashishtha Kund area of Ayodhya will be transferred to the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation.
The land will be provided free of cost, although the government has attached certain conditions and restrictions regarding its use. The facility is expected to create better sporting infrastructure for residents and encourage youth participation in sports activities.
Proposal Initiated by District Administration
The initiative originated from a proposal submitted by the Ayodhya District Magistrate, following a request from the Municipal Commissioner. The proposal highlighted the need to expand sports infrastructure in the city to support community development and youth engagement.
Government Clarifies One-Time Approval
Officials also noted that the decision to transfer land without cost is a special approval and should not be treated as a precedent for similar land allocations in the future.
The upcoming sports complex is expected to contribute to the development of Ayodhya’s civic infrastructure while creating new opportunities for sporting activities in the region.
