New Delhi, March 11, 2026: President Droupadi Murmu will grace the National Jal Mahotsav 2026 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, an event focused on water conservation, sustainable resource management, and community participation in protecting India’s water resources.

The event will bring together policymakers, experts, and stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions for addressing water challenges and strengthening the country’s water security.

PM Modi to Launch ₹10,800 Crore Development Projects in Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ernakulam in Kerala to inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, lay foundation stones, and flag off multiple infrastructure and development projects worth around ₹10,800 crore.

The initiatives are expected to significantly boost regional infrastructure, improve connectivity, and support economic growth across the state. Key sectors benefiting from these projects include transportation, urban development, and public infrastructure.

₹5,650 Crore Development Push for Tiruchirappalli

The Prime Minister will also travel to Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects valued at approximately ₹5,650 crore.

These projects aim to enhance logistics, improve urban facilities, and generate employment opportunities, strengthening the region’s economic potential.

National Conference to Empower Women Panchayat Leaders

In a parallel initiative in New Delhi, Union Ministers Rajiv Ranjan Singh and Annpurna Devi will attend the National Conference of Women Elected Representatives of Panchayats under the Sashakt Panchayat–Netri Abhiyan.

The conference aims to empower women leaders in grassroots governance by providing leadership training, policy discussions, and a platform to share successful governance models from across the country.

Government officials stated that the initiative is designed to strengthen the role of women in rural administration and ensure greater participation in decision-making processes.
