Justice Mahesh Chandra Tripathi to Take Oath as 50th Chief Justice of Bombay HC
Justice Mahesh Chandra Tripathi is to be sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court today. Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will administer the oath to the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.
The president on Saturday approved his appointment on the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium. He will be the 50th Chief Justice of the High Court. Justice Tripathi was posted at the Allahabad High Court before his appointment. Justice Tripathi did his law at Lucknow University.
He was enrolled as an advocate in 1992 and practised mainly in civil law. He was made additional judge of the Allahabad High Court in 2013 and permanent judge in 2015.
