RailTel Organizes Cyber Security and Cyber Hygiene Workshop for Officials

New Delhi, September 9, 2026: RailTel Corporation of India Limited’s Vigilance Department organized a workshop on “IT & Cyber Security and Cyber Hygiene” on September 8, 2026, at its Corporate Office in hybrid mode.

Officials from RailTel offices across the country participated in the session through video conferencing.

Sarika Aggarwal Synrem, CVO, RailTel, urged participants to remain alert against evolving cyber security threats in both professional and personal environments. She highlighted the importance of protecting cyber and data systems as part of maintaining institutional integrity and trust.

The interactive session was conducted by Peeyush Harbola, Deputy Manager, Data Centre, RailTel, and focused on practical cyber safety measures. Key topics included phishing attacks, QR-code-based scams and other forms of cyber fraud, supported by everyday examples and demonstrations.

The workshop emphasized that individual awareness and responsible digital behaviour remain an important line of defence against cyber attacks. It also highlighted the need to make cyber hygiene a daily habit and cyber security a shared responsibility across the organization.
