Shri Sharad Srivastava Transferred to Railway Board as Executive Director (MilRail)
The Ministry of Railways transferred Shri Sharad Srivastava, NFHAG/IRTS (Southern Railway), to the Railway Board and appointed him as Executive Director (MilRail), effective Nov 25, 2025.

New Delhi, 25 November 2025: The Ministry of Railways has issued an official order announcing the transfer of Shri Sharad Srivastava, NFHAG/IRTS, Southern Railway, to the Railway Board. With the President of India’s approval, he has been appointed as Executive Director (MilRail), Railway Board, under post code 11RB4P022.
Shri Srivastava, a senior IRTS officer, has been serving in Southern Railway. He brings valuable experience in operations, logistics, and rail management. His new role in MilRail is expected to improve coordination between Indian Railways and defence logistics.
The order, signed by Savita Chhikara, Under Secretary (Estt)-I, Railway Board, has been shared with all major railway zones, production units, attached offices, railway associations, and key stakeholders across the Railway Ministry.
This transfer shows Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to place senior, experienced officers in important posts to improve operational efficiency, defence movement planning, and coordination between departments.

Shri Sharad Srivastava is a senior officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) with NFHAG status. Over the course of his career, he has handled key leadership roles across operations, traffic management, logistics planning, and strategic mobility within the Indian Railways. His experience in coordinating large-scale rail operations makes him well-suited for his new assignment in MilRail, which plays a vital role in defence logistics and military movement planning.
