NPCIL Strengthens Cancer Care through CSR
Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has enabled the commissioning of a state-of-the-art CT Simulator at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Mumbai, through its initiative.

New Delhi: As part of its commitment to nation-building beyond power generation, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has enabled the commissioning of a state-of-the-art CT Simulator at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Mumbai, through its initiative.
The advanced CT Simulator, equipped with motion management and other cutting-edge features, will significantly enhance precision radiation therapy planning, benefiting thousands of cancer patients annually. TMH treats over 7,000 new radiation therapy cases each year, and this upgrade replaces an ageing system, strengthening the safety, accuracy and effectiveness of treatment delivery.
The facility was inaugurated today by Shri B. C. Pathak, Chairman & Managing Director, NPCIL, in the presence of Dr Sudeep Gupta, Director, Tata Memorial Centre; Shri V. Rajesh, Director (Technical); Shri N.K. Mitharwal, Director (Projects); Shri Prateek Agarwal, Executive Director(CP&CC) from NPCIL along with Dr Siddhartha Laskar, Deputy Director (Academics), TMC and Dr Jai Prakash Agarwal, Head, Department of Radiation Oncology, TMH. Senior officers from NPCIL and faculty & staff of the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics of TMH also marked their august presence.
Through such impactful CSR interventions, NPCIL continues to contribute meaningfully to national healthcare infrastructure, reinforcing its commitment to public welfare, advanced medical care and inclusive development.
