IIM Jammu Welcomes Kerala Agricultural University Delegation for Academic Visit and Campus Tour as Part of Their All-India Academic Tour
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu hosted an academic visit and campus tour for students and officials of Kerala Agricultural University on 17th February 2026 at its Jagti Campus. The visiting delegation comprised 34 students from the B.Sc. (Hons.) Co-operation and Banking 2023 batch of the College of Co-operation, Banking, and Management, including 31 female and 3 male students.
The delegation was accompanied by Shri Nithin M and Ms. Sreelekshmi C C. The visit was part of their All-India Academic Tour integrated into their curriculum, during which they are touring premier institutions across the country to gain exposure to diverse academic ecosystems and institutional best practices. The students and teachers received a warm welcome at IIM Jammu, beginning their visit at the iconic Clock Tower, followed by a comprehensive campus tour covering the Grand Reception Area, Mandapam Auditorium, Vedanta MDP Block, Smart Classrooms, Nalanda Library, Rangmanch Amphitheatre, and Jalpan Kendra. At the Vedanta MDP Centre, they were briefed on IIM Jammu’s Executive Education and Consultancy Division and its training programs. They also observed the detailed campus-scale model, showcasing the institute’s world-class infrastructure and future expansion plans.
During the academic interaction, the delegation learned about IIM Jammu’s diverse academic programs and its centers of excellence that promote innovation, research, and social impact. The visit to the Nalanda Library, equipped with digital resources, advanced reading spaces, and Bloomberg Terminals for real-time financial analysis, highlighted the institute’s commitment to global education standards.
They also viewed audio-visual films depicting IIM Jammu’s journey since its inception in 2016, its rise in academic excellence, and its contribution to nation-building. The visitors explored IIM Jammu’s official website and social media platforms, encouraging continuous engagement with the institute’s latest developments in admissions, scholarships, and student initiatives. The discussions covered pathways to enter IIMs through CAT, preparation strategies, and the possibility of pursuing professional courses such as CA alongside an MBA.
The IIM Jammu students also spoke about the various student clubs and committees at the institute and explained how they effectively balance these responsibilities with academic assignments and studies. They further highlighted IIM Jammu’s case-based teaching pedagogy and explained how it helps students develop a holistic perspective on management. The MBA students shared how they are trained to work under pressure, stretch beyond their comfort zones, and consistently deliver results without excuses, thereby preparing themselves to thrive in highly competitive professional environments.
The students and officials were also informed about IIM Jammu’s dual international accreditations, BGA Institutional Accreditation and EFMD Programme Accreditation for its MBA program, placing it among the top five IIMs in India with such distinction and the only second- and third-generation IIM to attain it. IIM Jammu is now progressing toward AACSB accreditation, which will place it among the global elite Triple Crown accredited business schools.
The visit concluded with an interactive session where the students engaged with IIM Jammu representatives on opportunities in management, entrepreneurship, finance, analytics, and leadership. The interaction also highlighted IIM Jammu’s ongoing efforts to build strong community engagement and contribute to development across the Himalayan region. The visit, along with the briefing on various academic programs and career counseling, was coordinated by the Media and Publication Division, IIM Jammu.
