New Delhi, February 20, 2026: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has issued orders approving the appointment of Shri Krishna V R, Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer, to the post of Director in the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) under the Department of Expenditure. The appointment has been made on a lateral shift basis and will be co-terminus with the 8th Pay Commission.

Competent Authority Approval:

The Competent Authority has approved this appointment, and the officer has been directed to be relieved from his current assignment in the Department of Revenue to take up the new responsibilities. The date of relief is to be intimated to the Railway Board office.

Relief and Deputation Terms:

As per DoP&T's O.M. No. 2/6/2023-Estt. (Pay-II) dated March 22, 2023, the officer would be deemed to have been relieved on the date of expiry of the deputation period unless the competent authority has, with requisite approvals, extended the period of deputation in writing prior to the date of its expiry.
