Rourkela, February 20, 2026: The Materials Recovery Department (MRD) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has achieved a new benchmark in slag despatch, recording 8,159.12 tonnes through 279 trips in a single day on February 18, 2026.
This remarkable feat surpasses the previous record set in January 2026, demonstrating the department's consistent focus on operational excellence and efficient by-product utilisation.
