IREDA Posts Strong Provisional 9-Month Performance with 44% Growth in Disbursements, Loan Book Up 28%
NEW DELHI: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has delivered a strong operational performance for the nine months ended December 31, 2025, reflecting sustained momentum in India’s renewable energy financing sector.
According to provisional figures, IREDA’s loan sanctions surged 29% to ₹40,100 crore, compared to ₹31,087 crore in the corresponding period last year. Loan disbursements witnessed an impressive 44% jump, rising to ₹24,903 crore from ₹17,236 crore as on December 31, 2024.
The company’s outstanding loan book expanded by 28% year-on-year, reaching ₹87,975 crore as of December 31, 2025, reaffirming IREDA’s position as India’s largest pure-play green financing NBFC.
Commenting on the performance, Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director, IREDA, said the continued growth reflects increasing confidence in IREDA’s financial strength and the accelerating pace of India’s renewable energy transition. He highlighted that the expanding loan portfolio underlines IREDA’s pivotal role in enabling India’s clean energy ambitions.
Shri Das expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Minister and Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy, the Secretary of MNRE, the Board of Directors and all stakeholders for their guidance and support. He also acknowledged the commitment of Team IREDA for driving consistent growth.
