Tamilnadu Petroproducts Q2 PAT soars to Rs 32 cr, revenue stable

Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd (TPL) on Tuesday reported a massive jump in its standalone profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 32.07 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to Rs 2.83 crore in the same period last year. For the first half (H1) of FY26, PAT witnessed a powerful upturn, rising to Rs 65.29 crore from Rs 16.20 crore in H1 FY25.

New Delhi: Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd (TPL) on Tuesday reported a massive jump in its standalone profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 32.07 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to Rs 2.83 crore in the same period last year. For the first half (H1) of FY26, PAT witnessed a powerful upturn, rising to Rs 65.29 crore from Rs 16.20 crore in H1 FY25.

Revenue for Q2 FY26 remained stable at Rs 468.26 crore, showing marginal growth from Rs 455.66 crore in Q2 FY25 and maintaining consistency with the preceding quarter's revenue of Rs 468.27 crore. For the first half of FY26, the company posted revenue of Rs 936.53 crore, reflecting a slight increase from Rs 923.07 crore in H1 FY25.

This impressive bottom-line growth was propelled by a more than doubling of operational profit. The company's Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) for H1 FY26 reached Rs 104.57 crore, a significant jump from Rs 37.89 crore in the previous year's first half.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) before exceptional items for the half-year also saw a strong performance, scaling to Rs 88.64 crore compared to Rs 15.37 crore in H1 FY25.

Mr. Ashwin Muthiah, Vice Chairman of TPL and Founder Chairman of AM International, Singapore, commented on the results, stating, "The healthy quarterly performance of our company demonstrates disciplined execution and our ability to maintain stable revenue. The significant increase in profitability is due to a continued focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency."

The company incurred an exceptional expense of Rs 0.32 crore during the quarter related to material damage and plant restoration activities following Cyclone Michaung.
