As the whole world's eye is on India- Pakistan conflict, a new thing has bubbled up that China has spent billions in developing military technology.

One Chinese aerospace conglomerate that specialises in combat aircraft, AVIC Chengdu Aircraft, has been in the news as Pakistan claimed they have used AVIC-produced J-10C fighter jets to hit India's fighter jets, including Rafale.

If we look at history, China has exported more than 80% weapons to Pakistan only, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) data shows that.

The SIPRI's last year report states that China saw the smallest year-on-year percentage increase in arm revenues (+0.7%) since 2019.

China is closely watching out for how it can supply arms to its primary supplier, major exports to Pakistan are fighter jets, missiles, radars, and air defence systems. 

Reportedly, ongoing air strikes between India and Pakistan, it has been cam out that the major air defence systems have been destroyed by India, which were earlier supplied by China to Pakistan.

In the early 2000s, China's J-10,C the latest version, was entered into service with the Chinese air force. If we see the modernisation of the Military in China, the country witnessed significant changes and became a world-class military under its President, Xi Jinping.

According to China's Official announcement, the defence budget has been marked at USD 234.5 billion.
