Focus on Ground-Level Safety Practices

During the interaction, JCC members, representatives from the Coal Mines Operators Association of India (CMOAI), and Safety Board members shared firsthand observations and experiences from ongoing mining operations. Participants provided practical suggestions and recommendations aimed at further strengthening safety protocols and risk management practices in NCL mines.

The session underscored the importance of collaborative safety management, emphasizing that the highest standards of mine safety can only be achieved through collective commitment from management, workers, and regulatory bodies.

Enhancing Participative Safety Culture

The initiative is part of NCL’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of participative safety, where feedback from on-ground personnel informs policy and operational decisions. The interactive sessions aim to bridge the gap between policy frameworks and real-world challenges in mining operations, ensuring continuous improvement in occupational safety standards.
