MECL and GSI-CR Sign MoA for Non-Invasive Geophysical Exploration in Maharashtra
This collaboration marks a significant step in identifying potential mineral deposits using cutting-edge and non-invasive exploration technologies.

MECL, a CPSE under Ministry of Mines of Government of India and the Geological Survey of India – Central Region (GSI-CR) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on 4th April 2025 to carry out non-invasive geophysical exploration and generate baseline geophysical data in key regions of Maharashtra.
The MoA was signed by Shri Pankaj Pandey, Director (Technical), MECL, and Shri S.M. Syiem, Deputy Director General (Geophysics), GSI, in the august presence of Shri Indra Dev Narayan, CMD, MECL, and Shri D.V. Ganvir, ADG & HoD, GSI-CR. Shri Surendra Singh Kshatriya, Director (Finance), MECL, also graced the occasion, along with senior officials from both organizations.
