NHPC signs MoU with IndianOil for Development of Pumped Storage, RE Projects
The collaboration shall open new pathways for faster expansion of the Renewable Energy portfolio of both companies.

New Delhi: National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (NHPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on 27th June 2025 for collaboration and exploring opportunities for Development of Pumped Storage and other Renewable Energy Projects in India and overseas country in Joint Venture Mode.
The MOU was signed by Shri Rajat Gupta, Executive Director (SBD&C) from NHPC and Shri Pravin Dongre, Executive Director (SD) from IOCL in the presence of Shri R.K.

Chaudhary, CMD, Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical) and GM (SBD&C) from NHPC and Shri Suman Kumar, Director (P&BD) & Shri Manoj Nanda, CGM (SD) from IOCL.
The MOU aims to foster long-term collaboration between NHPC and IOCL for exploring the opportunities in the sector and the development of Pumped Storage, Hydroelectric and other Renewable Energy projects in the country and abroad. The collaboration shall open new pathways for faster expansion of the Renewable Energy portfolio of both companies.
