Shri Sanjib Kumar Suar, Executive Director, assumes charge as Head of Project, NTPC Kanti
Shri Sanjib Kumar Suar, a veteran NTPC professional with nearly four decades of experience, has assumed charge as Head of Project NTPC Kanti on September 4 2025. He brings expertise in power generation, O&M management, and leadership.
Shri Sanjib Kumar Suar has joined as the new Head of Project of NTPC Kanti. Shri Suar, an accomplished professional with nearly four decades of association with NTPC, assumed charge on September 4, 2025.
A 1986-batch Executive Trainee, Shri Suar holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Sambalpur University and an M.Tech. in Power Generation Technology from IIT Delhi. Over the years, he has served in responsible roles across major NTPC stations, including Vindhyachal, Talcher Kaniha, Raipur, Jhajjar and North Karanpura, gaining wide-ranging experience in electrical maintenance, transformers, switchgears, protection systems, and O&M management.
He was promoted as Executive Director in March 2025, and before joining Kanti, he successfully led NTPC North Karanpura as its Head of Project.
Shri Suar has also undergone advanced technical and leadership training at the Power Management Institute, NTPC, besides specialised programs in generator protection, safety leadership, energy efficiency, and management development at premier institutes in India and abroad.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjib Kumar Suar said:
“It is a privilege to lead NTPC Kanti. My focus will be on ensuring operational excellence, strengthening safety and sustainability, and fostering strong community development initiatives. Through our CSR activities, we will continue to support education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities, while working towards the holistic development of Kanti and the surrounding areas.”
