SECL signs MoU Institute of Development Management

New Delhi: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (South Eastern Coalfields Limited) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Development Management Trust for the implementation of the flagship CSR project titled “Clean Air, Clean City, Healthy Citizens” in Bilaspur.

The project, with a total outlay of ₹ 822.32 lakh, will be implemented under the CSR initiatives of SECL Headquarters and focuses on mechanized road sweeping and allied activities aimed at reducing road dust, improving ambient air quality, and promoting preventive public health in the city.

The MoU was formally exchanged on 09 January 2026 in the presence of Shri Biranchi Das, Director (HR), SECL, Shri C. M. Verma, Head of CSR, along with senior CSR officials from SECL and representatives of the Institute of Development Management Trust.

Under this initiative, modern mechanized sweeping systems will be deployed across identified city roads and public areas, ensuring scientific dust control, cleaner streets, and improved urban hygiene. The project is expected to contribute significantly to reducing airborne particulate matter, thereby supporting better respiratory health and overall well-being of citizens.
