BEML appoints two officials as Independent Directors on Board
BEML Ltd, a government-backed company, announces the re-appointment of two Independent Directors to its Board, effective April 17, 2025, for a one-year term.
New Delhi: Government-backed BEML Ltd has announced that it has appointed two officials as Independent Directors on the Board. According to the exchange filing made, the President of India has re-appointed the following Independent Directors (IDs) on the Board of M/s BEML Limited w.e.f. 17.04.2025, for a period of 1 year.
1. Shri Vikas Ramkrishna Kakatkar (DIN-02372234)
Shri Vikas Ramkrishna Kakatkar is a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.), Bachelor of Law and MBA from the University of Pune. Shri Vikas Kakatkar worked as Marketing Officer with Kirloskar Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Pune & Statfield Systems (Coating) Pvt. Ltd, Pune from 1979-1981. Since 1982, he is working in the business of construction for Residential and Commercial Buildings in Pune. He is associated as the Management Consultant with Perfect Machine Tools Limited and its group companies.

He is also one of the Founder Directors of Jai Hospitals Private Limited, Nashik. He is associated with many Banking, Educational and Social Institutions for the upliftment of society. Since 2001, he has been associated with Deccan Education Society, and during this period, he has been instrumental in setting up new institutions and colleges, including setting up new campuses and institutes in Andhra Pradesh and also entered into collaborations with various International Universities

Shri Siva Makutam graduated from BITS, Pilani in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (2001). He also worked as Principal Consultant to the Department of IT Electronics & Communications, Govt.. of Andhra Pradesh during 2017-18. He is currently focused on “Make in India” & adoption of next-generation technologies to enable the related eco-system.
