BPCL Appoints Asheesh Joshi as Government Nominee Director
Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Announces Board-Level Reassignment at BPCL

Mumbai. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), one of India’s top oil and gas companies, has announced a change in its Board of Directors following guidance from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), Government of India.

According to the ministry’s communication dated June 19, Shri Asheesh Joshi, Joint Secretary at MoP&NG, has been appointed as the Government Nominee Director on BPCL’s Board. This appointment takes effect on June 20, 2025, for a term of three years or until further notice, whichever comes first. Mr. Joshi will also serve as an Additional Director.

Joshi is a senior Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2006 batch (Uttarakhand cadre). He has considerable administrative experience. Before this role, he served as Secretary (Additional Charge) in the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department of Uttarakhand and held leadership positions in departments such as Housing, Finance, Energy, Tourism, and Rural Development.

BPCL confirmed that Mr. Joshi is not disqualified under any SEBI or governmental order and has no family connections with current Directors or Key Managerial Personnel.

At the same time, Smt. Kamini Chauhan Ratan, who served as the Government Nominee Director, ended her term on the same day. The company thanked her for her service and contributions.
